Took a short break to finish a bunch of edits to the entire comic XD. If you clear your browser’s cache, you’ll notice that all of the pages are now slightly larger and formatted more like these recent ones. I also made a bunch of continuity and art fixes. More info here.
This was all to get ready for Sakuracon this year. I’ll be in small press again :]. Chapter 1 won’t be available for purchase unfortunately, but I will have a preview of the inked pages I’ve done so far out for people to read.
Also, in some big news, I’m going to be doing the artwork for an upcoming Amya Chronicles short story 
. Amya is one of my favorite comics, so I’m really looking forward to working on this :]
I’ve got plenty of sketches I could post as vote incentives, but I want to do something more fun, so I’m opening those up for requests! If there’s anything you want to see, just comment with the request and it might just be the next vote incentive :3

Gosh, I haven’t commented here in a while (real life, what can ya do). But I’m really loving this vignette! So interesting and suspenseful. I’m kinda worried about Seta, but do I maybe see someone standing way behind him? (Or is it just a lantern, lol?) Hopefully someone’ll save him.
Btw, I will definitely take you up on a vote incentive request. I totally want Dagger and Gun…having to dance with each other! Maybe they’re undercover on a bounty hunt as husband and wife (pfft), maybe Dagger just wants a chance to annoy poor Gun…who knows. But I would totally want to see their reactions :3

Oh noes Death!! I’m digging the black and whites in these recent pages. I don’t miss the lack of color since the monotone is done so well. I’m eager to see what Luna and Ten are up…hopefully not angst-ing too much…

Death himself, eh? I’m guessing that if he’s appearing this early in the story, he’s going to be significantly less than awe-inspiring. The laws of comedy dictate that he will soon be shown puking into the sea.
Adamo ISN’T going to die then, I guess. Should be interesting to see what kind of horrible fate he will need to be rescued from. The Zero-Approval gambit can have some serious drawbacks.

Oh god so intense. Another great page. Oh my gosh, if we’re requesting vote incentives I think it’d be super cool if Ten had one of those daydreams like Luna keeps on having in the older vote incentives. He’s got to be thinking about it. Even he can’t be that naiive, haha…ha… wait….lol I love Ten and miss him so much right now

Unless Shar is being metaphorichal, I must say that I did not expect this type of development – many kind os assassins and bounty hunters were a possibility on my mind, but certainly not this.
If I may suggest an incentive I then propose to reference recent events: have either Dagger or Gun do their best to stop further temptations of editing old chapters and make you continue with the story so they can finally make their long-awaited entrance. XD

XD I think I’ve finally gotten all the edits out of my system. Aside from continuing to ink and color Chapter 1, I’m going to be leaving older chapters alone from now on.

Speaking of focus — I finally realized what you had written on the other page about time management. One thing I’ve done recently (and I hope it might help) is to just take notes on what I’ve found myself doing. The next stage of the game is to write down what I would rather have done differently (in my case, it was spending money on food, but it could just as easily deal with what a person does with time).

I would love to see what fancy dress in the world of Everblue looks like, so if I were to make a request, it would be for Luna and/or Dagger in formalwear!
Also, is it just me or does Shar look juuuuust a little mournful there as he’s looking out over the sea? Either way, I’m so worried for Seta right now…

Shar has been in this ‘business’ for so long that he has been largely desensitized to it and has even developed a sadistic fascination with seeing how people (Seta in this instance) act when given these choices. However, he also believes a quick death to be better and more meaningful than prolonged suffering, something he laments about the outcome of this situation. He’s a strange guy XD.

Beautiful artwork, as always. This comic is awesome. I have another question, however: What is the average difference between cities? Because if a “drifter” like Ten can sail a small craft between them safely I wouldn’t think it would be TOO incredibly far…

The distance between cities varies a lot — the closer to the Inner Kingdom, the more close knit things will be; further out, the cities begin to drift apart. The distances could range anywhere from a few kilometers to several hundred, and Ten has sometimes spent weeks at sea between cities during his travels. I haven’t gotten into it yet in the story, but the ocean is relatively calm and rarely becomes dangerous for even smaller ships.
